Art Safari
It’s not like I automatically go for a grafitti hunt, but at times… it happens. Here I’ll show you the things that fell over me. It’s intresting that soemtimes you see intresting or inspiring thing everywhere, and other days… nothing seems intresting.
But this time I also used the assistance offered by the big search engine and found this street art map that will guide you to a lot of the ambitious artists of Oslo. Unfortunately I wasn’t all that impressed by that many. But there sure are pieces that are worth the visit.
Besides the possible pieces of art, it’s also a wonderful way to explore and see other things in Oslo. As well as experiencing different cultures inbetween different parts of the city. I love this kind of cruising.
I always try to travel with my foldable bike friend Sally. It’s not as sad as it sounds. It’s by far the best way to travel and explore. In Oslo though, you really need to be alert since there are so many quiet vehicles.
Akerselva & The Bar Blå
Follow a river, or possibly more of a stream. Akerselva have pedestrian and bicycle paths along most of it, on both sides. It’s awesome to ride right through parts of the city and hear the calming sounds of moving water.
Close by this grafitti facade there is a hipster bar where the… über cool DJ’s play fairly good music. Oh, I know…. not everyone likes Earth Wind & Fire. Definately a very nice place for the aftrenoon Aperol Spritz. If you like to replace some of the Aperol with a dash of Campari, you’ll have to pay extra. No Aperol deduction… Sometimes I think it’s just better to max what you’re asked to mix, and then charge for it without the additional yada yada. But that’s me.
